All Quiet On The Mas Front?

No news should mean good news right? Seems like Trinidad Carnival chatter has ground to a screeching halt, making for a pretty BORING month. Makes you appreciate the days of Elements Mas and all the hype created by their early pre pre media launch. At least then we got to see a billboard from TRIBE announcing their theme  in April instead of it all being under wraps even though costume prototypes are already designed.

Well at least there is SOME news from Island People, their website is now updated with theme 2011 and word reaching The Sauce is that we should look out for a HOT costume from Crystal Amming:

Dream Team has also announced their theme :

Now if only we can get an official announcement on the new theme by Spice, the new name of the band formerly rumored to be called Sugar and confirmation on TRIBE's Warriors presentation then maybe I can awake from this coma that has killed the anticipation for Carnival 2011... throw us a bone already!

The Art of Dance looks like it would be an interesting theme. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with!

Usually I only go back to read a post for 1 day, 2 days TOPS. That goes to show how slow things are.

Maybe its a good time to have some forum discussions about some of the ancillary stuff.
What are people's thoughts on the Carnival centre, what should some of the requirements be? Is the present route sufficent, in terms of traffic and space? Should we hit the road again, or demand the Savannah?
Should the judging of Kings and Queens be relooked, the fact that some kings are simply coming on wheels and floats, whereas the ingenuity and technical diffuclty of others amount to naught if they fall on stage? Especially considering the demolishon of the stand, which in effect brings larger gusts of wind.
Anyway, just a thought.

I agree with Jerome....
with respect to the Kings and Queens; The King is NOT supposed to have wheels, hence why it is carried by bodybuilders...these costumes with wheels are cheating!
