I popped in to the Carni Vibe shopping event held by Final Accents at Cascade yesterday and though my time there was short there were just too many lovely items to wrap my brain around! Reasonably priced costume jewelery and only one of each piece which makes it cool because then you do not have to worry about someone else showing up at event sporting your style. Due to the overwhelming response Carni Vibe will hold an encore sale next week, details will be posted soon!

This group exhibition had a casual opening on Saturday 19th February and continues right through until Carnival. There are new works from some of Trinidad's favourite artists depicting aspects of our Carnival Culture. Wulf has little wire and papier mache traditional characters like the jab molasi and jab-jab, moko jumbies and mintrels. There is the riveting palette in Sundiata's panmen, tiny details in Shalini's Midnight Robber, Peter Sheppard's Off-the-wall 3"x3" miniatures displayed on easel and many more exciting works from Che Lovelace, Beverley Fitzwilliam Harries, Rebecca Foster and many more. There is are also a collection of beautiful photographs from Abigail Hadeed .
The exhibition is open daily from 9am-5pm a the Y Art & Framing Gallery which is located at 26 Taylor Street, corner of Warren Street, Woodbrook.
