For those masqueraders based in Toronto you can get your mas boots at Bootsman MB.I was informed that he already has 30 pairs of boots made in various sizes and colours of either leather or vinyl material with leather soles. Vinyl boots are priced at approximately $75.00 CND/ $300.00TT while the leather is $150.00CDN/$600.00TT.
There are also a few pairs available in Trinidad all leather uppers and soles sizes 10,9,8,6.5 in silver & size 8 in white with fringe. Contact Mervyn Skeete at 640 5807 for their availability.

Ok, this is not about boots (toronto babies, allyuh have to excuses, check the bootmans dey...:D), but ah following on the international vibes.

I have been actually looking at several options for my vacation this year (2 months from May to June yipee!!) and I am quite surprised at airfare within the Caribbean. I am thinking it is World Cup that is driving up airfare and hotel rates but it is quite shocking to me to price a trip to London with a weekend in Paris as the same price as a week in Aruba or Barbados staying at a "regular" hotel!!
Of course I don't have to factor in accomodation for London and I can get a charter flight from Tobago but comparatively 2 weeks in London is a MUCH better bang for the buck.
Boots in Toronto? SAAAA-WEEEET! Even though Bowmanville is a helluva drive from Toronto...is a good option...thanks Kevian and Saucy! :D:D

Sauce I pay of my costume yesterday, visited the mall, buy meh top for monday, buy some more makeup to try on and most importantly PAID OFF MY COSTUME!!!! Yayyyy i ask de girl by tribe if i could have it now...lol. Of course i realized again that Jamette is even less red that I thought. Steups. But she said the how shorts i ordered for Jamette are red so i guess all my red WILL match on Monday.
Today I braided my hair...lordhavismercy. I had been battling a migraine for about 2 weeks now...eh heh. Well it back, i trying all kinda way to sleep right now. the braids looking hot though eh i just can't wait for them to loosen up a little bit so i can wear them like they should be worn. I going back and sleep there in this hot sun.

Saucy, wow, 2 months for vacation!!! Hello, that's what I call some vacation time to fullfill interesting travel experiences.
Well, you've been to some islands in the Caribbean, and yes indeed the flight arrangements for island hopping have skyrocketed. It could be the Cricket World Cup. But, it could also include the general trend of airlines not sevicing the islands as much as before because of profitabity pressures, so lesser flight numbers increase the costs for lesser seats. Surprising short noticed values could pop up, but I think it would be best to focus on the Caribbean islands for specific vacation activities (e.g. snorkle, sun and beach (singles/couples/family), spa, cusine, culture, island fun type singles mingling, etc.) and just spoil yourself when you can.
Of course, for me the number one time in Trindad is Carnival which satisfies so many experiential emersions that I enjoy. What I will do starting next year, is include Tobago in my visits. I haven't done this in the past, and I'd like to get that blissful relaxing slow island pace, and beautiful Tobago beach settings, after Carnival. Maracas is nice, but Tobago is a more away from it all experience.
Also, it's cool you can get to London and get to Paris at more attractive costs that island hopping. That does open up some interesting European travel possiblities. Have you been to continential Europe? (London and Milan for me, so far in Europe.)
dougs I have yet to conquer Europe so I am excited to have that option. One of my best friends has been there for just over a year and is encouraging me to come visit.
Oh, Tobago should always be included in your plans. Maracas has nothing on Pigeon Point, Store Bay, Canoe Bay and one of my fave beaches, Paraltuvier!
