New Look Majorette

For all those not paying attention (except sexelise) a change has been made to "Majorette" in TRIBE. Gone is the feathered visor and in its place is this new headpiece:

Sources have informed me that the person responsible for this section also brought “Sea Whips” last year, and if you can recall there was a change to that costume after the launch as well.

While the headpiece is nice I need to see the full effect with the backpack to get an idea of how the pieces look together. Other than that, hopefully this new change will see the section selling out at last. Check out the website to view the updated headpiece.

The Trini Revellers Section "La Marche Sur Versailles" is offering each masquerader a free mobile phone with their costume. In addition each female masquerader will receive a face mask and pair of fishnet stockings. On the website they also claim that the costume will be packaged in a re-usable basket! I must say this section is giving a total package; I like the idea of giving matching stockings and the cell phone is a bonus (hear that TRIBE!).

Best Dressed at the Fete- Bliss

There I was thinking there would be more than enough well dressed fete patrons who attended Bliss to choose from and I was left sorely disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, many of the guys looked great, well groomed, well coiffed and sporting nice tops paired with jeans. Albeit the men all looked similar, the women mostly wore jeans and a teeny top….quite mundane if you asked me! Maybe my expectations were set too high for Bliss, comparing it to the fashion parade that is Amnesia.

So, my Best Dressed of the Fete for Bliss is the men! Now, I know you can only do SO much when it comes to dressing for guys, after all their choices are a pants and top full stop; however, these men went beyond the basic T-shirt or polo and chose some tops with interesting patterns and /or logos. Also, notice the hair on some of the guys, moussed to perfection and they are wearing accesories!

Guy on the left, like his T-shirt:

This guy's simple black t-shirt has a cool design

Guy on the far right, nice black shirt!

Note the hair on guy in red! Interesting t-shirts too.

Usually I am not a fan of logo t-shirts but guy on the left
wears a simple T-shirt well and his dreads look very neat!

Liking this shade of blue polo and loving the little orange bracelet
which picks up the orange in the sleeve!

Ok, not liking the hat too much but this guy has a body that looks good by itself!
Digging the whole military look including the MAN PURSE.. lol
