Concering Monday Wear........................................

Ok, so the official word on the Monday wear issue after calling TRIBE is this; it is your choice on whether you wear your full costume, or not on Monday AS LONG AS YOU WEAR YOUR TRIBE ID BANDS.

I made sure and asked if anyone would be putting me out of the band and cutting off my ID/Drinks band if I wore boyshorts and a tank top, and was told no, that will not happen.

Now I can breathe a sigh of relief as when I heard the allegations that the aforementioned scenario would take place I instantly got annoyed. I mean, I just organised my Monday wear after much thought, only to hear this morning that I had to wear a piece of my costume or else.

Hope this clears things up for everyone, as I did not see anything in writing on the whole "Monday wear" issue on TRIBE's website or the booklet they issued with the costume.

Pulse 8 Distrubutuon of Costumes:

Of Goody bags and Costumes

For all those wondering what I think of the Fireman costume, I have to say that it as nice as I expected. The waist band is hot and very skimpy and I am not really feeling the hat, it's nice but I think I still have that preference for a big headpiece deep down inside.

As for the goody bag, where are all the "goodies"? Now, I know I threw out the idea of a cell phone compliments sponsor Digicel in the earlies, thinking maybe the idea might resonate with the powers that be in TRIBE. Alas, no cell phone in the goody bag,and for all those who think it is too extravagant a "gift", let me just say I bought a wireless mouse at ETeck in San Juan as a Christmas present and paid $100.00TT. With that purchase I got a free motorla digicel phone! So, after spending $3000.00 on a costume the least one could expect was the same deal; a free phone!

Really the contents of the goody bag is as follows:

  • Promotional flyers/coupons (for Marios etc)
  • $10 discount voucher for sunblock,
  • A magazine,
  • TRIBE mirror
  • TRIBE key chain
  • Heineken key chain
  • TRIBE notebook
  • A mini bottle of Ocean Spray juice
  • A bottle of nail polish
  • A cup
  • A little pouch
  • A pencil/makeup case
  • Small pack of glitter
  • A Digicel flyer with cell phone and to get a $10 phone card when buying a phone

Honestly, maybe they should have just kept the whole goody bag and offer Monday wear instead!

To their credit customer service was excellent, a friend of mine needed her belt adjusted and her bra fixed since the size was too small. The staff at the adjustment centre went above and beyond to find her a bra that fit and she is quite pleased by their efforts. In addition another guy needed his hat re-sized and they took care of that as well. The entire collection process was quite professional and everything ran smoothly. The only complaint one could make is that they could have had some soca music (and maybe some free beers ) to get people in the mood, everyone was so serious and professional!
