Que Viva Mexico we have pics! Thanks to
Toronto-lime.com, again, the first photos of Trini Revellers band launch are online. To my surprise many of the costumes on show are pretty skimpy, I know Trini Revellers have been known to attract a more mature crowd with costumes that are a bit more covered than the usual bikini and beads. However for 2008 the costumes are sexier with big, elaborate headpices and tiny waistbands.
Trini Revellers has also been quite good at sticking to the theme, and most of the costumes, especially the males reflect some of the portrayal, so I will wait until the website goes up to find out why there is an Indian costume in the mix!

Trini Revellers launched their 2008 Carnival presentation "Que Viva Mexico" last night at Pier 1. Though I am yet to see any photos from the launch (I could not be there for personal reasons)
Rugeri Promotions has already launched their section "Aztecas" from the band
Trini Revellers and here is a first look at the section:
The
website for Aztecas is already up and running with prices at $1775.00 female and $1550.00 male ALL INCLUSIVE of drinks, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, Rugeri has one of THE cheapest sections on offer for 2008 thus far. Last year their section Paris is Burning was similarly priced, which just goes to show that not all costumes are exorbitantly out of the reach of the masquerader on a "budget" and once again there are choices out there. The costume, both male and female, are quite attractive as well certainly on par with costumes from other bands that cost much more. I am looking forward to the other sections on offer by
Trini Revellers for Carnival 2008.
