A.M. Premium Breakfast All Inclusive - The Review

Fete: A.M. Premium, Bayview Maracas
Price: $450.00
Date: May 30, 2012

Location:
Bayview Bar overlooking Maracas Beach, parking on site which was cool and it is about 30 minutes from the Saddle Road to the venue depending on traffic. For the amount of people that were there, I am guessing around 600, the space was more than adequate however if this party grows in the coming year they will definitely need a bigger venue.

Bar:
No Nuvo, no LLB other than that there was Johnnie, it never ran out and that is all I needed to know. In addition to your standard scotch, rum (Single Barrel) and vodka at the bars there was also Champagne. And the host of shot girls who ever so nicely offered you Café patron and tequila. If you had multiple shots of the Café Patron I don’t have to guess how you ended up post fete! Tequila is the devil I tell you. I also liked the twist on the traditional mimosa as a welcome cocktail called “Mawnin” with mango juice and champagne, yum!

Food:
Since this was a breakfast party there was indeed your sada roti, bake and saltfish, omelets (cannot recall seeing pancakes), fruit cups and soup. I sampled the bake and saltfish and had the soup they were both good and there was food serving up until the time I left.

Music:
D.J Private Ryan, that is all I have to say!

Crowd Vibe:
I have to admit getting up so early to head to Maracas on a holiday was a bit disconcerting; I don’t even leave my house that hour on a regular work day. However after the morning cocktail, music and the sun came up all hell broke loose and people were jamming like it was indeed a Carnival fete in HOT SUN. Nice mix of people saw some familiar and not so familiar faces of all ages. It was excellent!

Eye Candy:
For the men lots of women looking great as usual in a variety of "resort wear", for the ladies I would put the eye candy around a 6.

Overall Rating:
I would give A.M. Premium an 8.5, the only thing that could have made it better might have been a cool down zone when the sun was blazing and possibly starting it a bit earlier! Other than that a really, really good fete, the idea of a breakfast party outside of Carnival is just brilliant. And speaking of that, look out for the A.M. Premium Carnival edition, save the date: 09.02.2013.
