Starting De Lime Early!

Last evening I was invited by the Hyatt Regency Trinidad to "Start de  Lime early" with a pre lime event for their first all inclusive fete LIME.

I was told that invitations to the event  were issued to LIME's Top Twitter Fans (meaning those who constantly engage in a rapport with @theultimatelime) as well as a the largest local ticket purchasers to date. My invitation came because of the fact that my blog posts have been noted as one of the top drivers of  traffic to the LIME http://www.ultimatelime.com/

The idea of a pre lime LIME is a novel idea as I don't think I have ever heard of a Fete that has "feted" their top supporters with a pre party! We were kept topped up with signature cocktails like the Forbidden Lime and Lime Time plus enjoyed an array of hors d'oeuvres such as chicken pot stickers, shrimp skewers, tender beef skewers, mini crab cakes on coo coo, geera chicken puffs, green fig souse and cheese tartlets ! I am guessing a small sample of what might be available at the LIME  Fete. There was even live music at last evening's lime!

And since we were told specifically NOT to walk with cameras I do not have any photographs to share save the ones I stole on my mobile phone!

I already have my ticket to the LIME (and no it is NOT a complimentary ticket) but if you do not and you want a chance to win a pair, today is the LAST day to enter the LIME's Facebook competition where you guess how many limes are in the jars at the Hyatt's lobby! Good luck, contest closes at 11:59PM tonight!
