Band Launch Season Is Not Over Yet !

So, just when I thought the countdown was on for Carnival and all band launches were behind us comes an invitation to the "band launch" of Genesis I- Creation, which takes place today:

As we say good bye to 2010 we’re hereby giving way to the birth of a new and exciting era for the Catholic Church and Trinidad and Tobago overall.

Yes, the Catholic Church will be actively participating in the upcoming 2011 Carnival Season.
As our nation gets ready for the most significant festival on our country’s annual calendar of events, so too are the committee members of the Word and Associates Carnival Band with our 2011 portrayal “Genesis I – Creation”. The mission of this band goes way beyond Carnival, we’re here to reclaim Trinidad and Tobago from the criminal elements that appear to have taken siege of our country and are holding our citizens hostage and as prisoners behind locked doors and bars in our own homes.

We’re here to bring all hostages out into the streets again, in numbers unheard of, we’re here to make a stand, Trinidad and Tobago is ours to enjoy, a nation full of love, joy, creativity, diversity not just crime. Our mission:

To create a presence within Carnival that revitalizes family values and provides an alternative to people seeking to celebrate our culture, creativity and have fun. Values based fun!
