Soca Monarch Finalists Revealed!

I wonder if the rumours are true that just for making it to the Finals the minimum take home "prize" is  TT$100,000.00? 
Congratulations to all the finalists and I do hope that the twitter feud between @machelmontanohd and @destragarcia is settled before the day!

Advanced Dynamics Limited and Beach House Entertainment, two of Trinidad and Tobago’s leading video production companies, have entered into a joint venture, Carnival TV, that will be packaging and presenting Trinidad Carnival to audiences around the world in a new and refreshing programming format.

Live High Definition coverage of the Parade Of The Bands and some of the key shows leading up to it, will be packaged with pre-recorded features and interviews of influential key personalities and these packages will be offered live via the Internet.

Carnival TV will be streaming live via the World Wide Web four events that target audiences in the North America, and Europe, Asia and any other diaspora situated regions.

Wed, 23rd February 3 Canal, The Little Carib Theatre

Sat, 5 March National Panorama Finals, QP Savannah

Sun, 6 March Dimache Gras, QP Savannah

Tues, 8 March Parade of the Bands, QP Savannah

In addition to the live coverage, the programming format has been designed to provide viewers with a look behind the scenes and highlights of the activity leading up to the big weekend.

Special short features will complement the live broadcasts, which will be hosted by a line up of fresh young presenters, including Trinidadian saxophonist Etienne Charles, who will provide commentary on the Panorama competition.

In this vein, the live 3 Canal Show will also feature pre-recorded interviews with the members the band, their latest music video, and a look back at some of the work that went in to preparing for this annual Rapso concert.

Viewers will hear a little bit about the return to the historic Little Carib Theatre, as this will be the first event to be staged at the there since restoration work began at the venue more than three years ago.

The National Panorama finals will be no different. Carnival TV will take advantage of the break between performances to showcaseshare interviews from the respective pan yards, done during practice sessions in the weeks leading up to the Finals.

Dimanche Gras will also be streamed live.

The Parade of the Bands will be captured and transmitted, for the first time, in High Definition TV. In order to greatly increase its viewership, Carnival TV will produce a three-hour long package of the highlights of the Parade and stream this during Prime Time (8:00pm – 11:00pm) on Carnival Tuesday night.

Carnival TV proposes to vigorously promote its streaming of these events through traditional media, but with much greater emphasis on as well as the viral social networking toolsks, such as Facebook and e-mail. The campaign will focus on the Caribbean Diaspora and key target groups in North America, Europe and Asia.

Bitdepth Features The Sauce!

Today's Trinidad Guardian Bitdepth Article features none other but yours truly, when Mark Lyndersay asked me for an interview a few weeks ago I had no idea that this would be the end result, I am actually blushing! One thing though, the phrase "Cheesecutter Wine" and the 10 Commandments of Frontline H.O.ism is 100% credited to the infamous Pretti Dolli, from whom I learned all that there is in being a Frontline H.O.!
