Well remember I wrote about
Carnival Junction in an earlier post and how my friend got her costume sold on that site earlier this year. I have a habit of checking various Carnival related sites ever so often and to my surprise when I checked
Carnival Junction today....1 costume is up for sale!!!!
If you want to respond to the ad you need to visit Carnival Junction.
And if you have a Goddess Backline or Frontline for sale 2 people are interested in buying those as well.
When I took a peek at Island People's online registration page I saw that they are offering a complimentary pair of boy shorts for Monday wear. Going by what was offered this year I am guessing their masqueraders are going to get some sort of top, boy shorts and headband to wear for Monday. That is such a cool idea, see I have no problem with people not wearing full costume on Monday but I still think the band should look somewhat uniformed and providing Monday wear achieves that.
I know Brian Mc Farlane also gives Monday wear, and I am hoping TRIBE gives us a nice little baby T/T-Shirt and a sailor hat so we can be a band of sailors on Monday (pssst allyuh hear meh TRIBE!)
But for those who don't get Monday wear I went searching through the archives on triniscene.com looking for creative ways to "hook up" a costume for Monday. I think these folks did a good job!
TRIBE in Poison- 2004

I am loving their spin on the Indian Costume for Monday, they made their own outfits!

If it is one thing I have come to realize as I searched the Carnival Monday photos is that more people than I thought did wear a lot of their costume on Monday. Probably since I have never worn any part of my costume on Monday in recent times that I never noticed or paid attention to the fact that many people do wear theirs!
I totally forgot that Dream Team's Mas Camp was opened on Friday the 29th, so I will be making a trip there next week to see how everything is set up, as well as check out the costumes in person and get a peek at the prices!
From their website, which is not up and running fully as yet, they have indicated that the mas camp is ready for registration.
Genesis will be hosting an open house on October 6th at their mas camp at Picton Street, I guess that launch held last Saturday at Pier 1 was the real thing!Their registration begins on October 9th.
