No Big Stage for Masqueraders this year

Despite a VERY misleading photograph caption in the Newsday on Saturday I can confirm that the stage that is currently constructed in the Queens Park Savannah will not be used by masqueraders. Carnival 2009 will, once again, see masqueraders on the streets and crossing the judging point in front of the Savannah.

For a look at the incorrect Newsday caption which states:
"BIG STAGE: Workmen make last minute preparations on the new big stage at the Queen's Park Savannah. For the last two years, masqueraders have been playing mas on the road, but this year a new big stage was constructed at the Queen's Park Savannah.

Rumour has it that Kaotic has scrapped two sections from their 2009 Carnival presentation "Life Unleashed"; allegedly gone are "Untamed" and "Emerald Viper".

Three BIG BANDS sold out, two more weeks to Carnival 2009 and only one begins distribution today, I guess the early bird really catches the worm. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be at collection tomorrow; looking forward to my Caged Canary Cocktails! Sources say the Lineup for TRIBE is as secret as where Rihanna is hiding out right now, but and all will be revealed soon enough! Word on the street is that TRIBE will be rolling out surprises for their rolling road party.. humph! Hope they will be welcomed surprises.

Though I missed Panorama Semi Finals yesterday (totally did not enjoy the vibe last year on the greens), When Steel Talks has all your 2009 Panorama coverage.. check them out!
