I too thought the same thing as the ass-target!
Also reminds me of those "peacock" panties that they used to dress little girls in while they were still in diapers. (God forbid they still do those horrible things to children--no wonder the future is so bleak).
Why am I reminded of the Target Store logo with that big red target type of thing on the person's tail? Is that supposed to be a bustle???
I applaud Mike for trying a ting but he still seems to fall in the same-o same-o, even though it's still an improvement from the Legends of old. I guess I just expected more from him. It's cool though. I Love love love the orange!
hottie,,you said it well. Nice target. That "Polly Peacok feathers shoot me on the ass" costume have to go. I not really feeling the whole Indian Princess Hiawatha Pocohontas theme much either. I also think mas bands do themselves an injustice by launching so late after other bands. At this point you're so tired of seeing beads, feathers, beads, feathers, beads and even more feathers,,u truly dont give the latecomers a good lookover. YAWN! hmmm, now what am i wearing for Monday mas?

The costumes are ok nothing special. I also think he coulda do better with some of the back pieces aka bullseyes

wierd i thought after the long intro on thier website there would be something spectacular to see?? i think if u are going to do indian mas do it properly some of them headresses are real sparse the dont carry the true elements of indian headresses they needed to have more contrast and presence especially the dodgey mojave one when i did a mojave headress in my band this year u need to use at least 45-55 feathers per hat not 10 jus looks cheap other wise but apart from the hats the body wear is typical of mike and is nice but cant see the conection as yet!!!
from what I have been told those "targets" are optional
and yes launching so late does not do him any favours in the sense of ppl will do they same dey caopy this band or that band!!!!
but then having said that for those who couldnt afford to play in Tribes "warrior" may have a chance to play it now, as Legacy prices have been on the more "affordable" range

For the most part alot of the headpieces look a lil weird :S Even the traditional Indian mas headpieces look better crafted, well done, fuller etc.

but ppl have to remember aswell that when bashing de costumes that out of the 23 sections available only 12 is Big Mike creations
Also no disprect to the photographer, but I've seen the pics they took for the photo shoot and some of the costumes look ah lil better!!! lol

I still like the orange with the massive headpiece...actually both orange costumes look great!
I think I will pop into the mas camp to have a look at them in person :D
yeah Im liking the orange ones too... just hopin one of them belonging to Ronnie & Caro!!!!! then I wont have to worry too much if I meant to lay mas this year or not

YUCK!!! Just as I expected the same old recyle costumes they had on the parkway for labor day.LOL I knew the were going to recyle the blue and white costume. All the folks that played in NY with Seasme can now wear those same hedious NY costumes in Trinidad.LOL

of those 20 pics posted only 7 (maybe 8 cant see de costume too well in one) are Legacy, the others are outside sections....
which is kinda unfortunate for them, cos when yuh viewing the pics in this way, all comments are directed at one person... becos we are unaware who is legacy own and who outside!!!!
