Enough with the body paint. Oh my god does everybody have to air brush their body like never see come see. When Tribe did it at least it was tastefull but now all the bands are trigger happy with the air brushing. Damn it man sotp already!
All they needed was some face painting to look the part.

Saucy, check out this website: Fatsmashdiet.com I'm sure you'll find it interesting. I have already lost 24.6lbs and looking forward to loosing 45-50 more before coming home for carnival... This one is real and is affordable, add some Trini flavor and you'll be looking forward to your meals... This diet also helps you to make healthy eating a way of life

Can anybody say Tribe knock off? You know what the headpiece on the first one remind me off? Them fuzzy steering wheel covers them old man who feel they sweet does put in dey car. Alyuh eh find?

hottie hottie u took the words right out of my mouth "bad tribe knock off at that" i was waiting to see the proper pics and now i have the headresses look jus as bad one thing i love when tribe do indian mas is that the headresses ar flawless and them batty targets will be wrecked after one wine

Hi All:

I sorry eh, but some of those "mojave" headpieces looking like they plucked them from a fowl with mainge, how they SPARSE so? One feather here, next feather a mile! And I don't know what particular Indian Tribes they are trying to portray but it seems to me alot of the truth in the constumes were sacrificed in the name of so-called "pretty mas". So far the orange is the best and they should forget the 'bamsee pack' and put some of 'dem feathers in the damn headpieces!

And uh Saucy I see we get cuss 'way in your "a little gossip with your morning coffee" post.....damn :S

yes girl!!All kinda mudda dis and dat...I feel is the so called celeb themself or a close companion that post that LOL.Small ting, I did not have to post the comment but I find it was funny as hell! And to think is Laura who write that not me!!

I like how they used a fuller figure model in the blue and white section (whole-suit)

Anonymous said...

hmph! you probably right...LOL Something hit someone a little to close to home.

Anyhow, I waiting to see the rest of these pics when the website get up. But the body paint really not working because it not adding anything to the overall effect other than to confuffel the situation even more. As you quite rightly said......warpaint would have been more effective. And the sparse headpieces really bothering meh.

shoot,,i did not see a fuller figure model,,but I see her now in blue. Nice touch that they did that, I was too busy checking out de abs on the brother next to her. I like the long lounge style pants on him too,,he could come lounge with me anytime in dem long pants,,minus the costume, paint and the stupid mask on he face

good afternoon everybody
hope all is well. i have to say that the orange section is the best, as for the others, they are really all that. they okay and i agree w/hottie about teh tribe knockoff indian headpiece. as for d other bands with body paint, it getting to be annoying now.

saucy ah hope yuh feeling a little better. but yuh know what does really help with d cold, Panadol cold symptom. i only got over the cold a week ago.

take it easy, have a good evening.

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

Anonymous said...

oooh Saucy, dem red days!! I know how you feel cause I'm in meh red days too, plus a cold, plus.....mmm nevermind :S Needless to say, this weekend I was a mess. And nothing like a Manic Monday to make you feel worse! 2 more hours!! I never looked for it here, but Midol REALLY works.

uhh...this would not actually be the appropriate forum for this discussion huh? ooops.....sorry

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

warrior Midol works when you take it a few days before, unfortunately I did not have the foresight to do such :S

Anonymous said...

Saucy...you were right..the orange one is the best.

And you were also right: what a cheap imitation of Tribe's Soca Warrior's costume the red Legacy's Indian costume is! =/ Hahahahaha, It looks so..so...unfinished, LOL!

Anonymous said...

Sorry TG but the that red costume is not legacy "cheap" version of the warriors costume, they have ah next one with the red white and black, when the site goes up tomorrow u will see what i mean, you'll probably still have the same ansa though!!!

Hey anon 6:37...just voicing my humble opinion..but just for your piece of mind I will check the website and see what there is to offer..
As to ascertain for your knowledge, website photos are DESIGNED to entice the prospective masquerader, as in, the costume could STILL look inferior when viewed in person. Hopefully this is not the case with Big Mike's work.
Just please don't blame me if I still draw the same conclusion as before; it just means that the website would have done nothing for the costume presentation.
Besides, I'm a Fancy Indian, lol..and a comparative analysis of both Legacy's headpiece and Tribe's headgear says wonders to me, but AGAIN, that's my humble opinion, coupled with some bias, admittedly.

'Till then...we'll see..

Anonymous said...

Hey Trini gyal, I didnt say there was anything wrong with voicing your opinion, voice away, the only thing I was stating is that you were basing your own opinion on the wrong costume, and again I said that you would probably come to the same conclusion when you saw the other version.

and please dont think your doin me any favours my checking out the website, dont worry about my peace of mind, Its doin just fine

I just wanted to inform you of costume issue, its an easy assumption for ppl to make if you dont know, but you obviously didnt want to know, so sorry for thinking that you did!!!

they do say ignorance is bliss eh!!

waspwidfirecracker said...

oooohhhhh, that sort of illness-lol well i dunno if it helps now but i always find doing loads of crunches and ab work always help with the pain. I don't have much abdominal cramping anymore cuz i have gotten in the habit of doing loads of ab work and especially 1 week prior i increase my ab work and i am usually okay.

try it next time around, it might work for you.

as for the additional ip sections sold out, big deal. i hope after all d bacchanal that went down with them their supporters are not disappointed come carnival 2k7. anyways dais jus me but as the saying goes "sie la vie"

have a great day everyone and sauce ah hope yuh feel better soon.

ROTF LMAO. Hottie, your words are too funny and TOO TRUE!

Anonymous said...

Fair enough, anon..I really don't want anyone to feel I am being disrespectful, lol, apparently extending an olive branch to people is met with a match and gasoline...damn, homie!

Yeah, and you are right. My opinion does stand, as I had aforementioned. I just thought I had a right to make a comparitive opinion between 2 costumes that look HAUNTINGLY familiar, like any person that wants to make a critical analysis.
I just wanted to be reasonable and check the site, as you had suggested I should do before basing an opinion. Glad to know your peace of mind is in one piece.

I leaving it at that, yes boy, lol, because my money is already placed somewhere: ie, no water off my back, lol.

Cheers!

trInIgyal - yuh name hard to type boy - I know how yuh feel. I find people getting rail up fast boy. Like they fuhgetting is all about discussing and having a laugh.

how many sections dem ment to have?

Anonymous said...

Well from the webiste it looks like 13, I thought it was 12, but which means they have about 10 outside sections!!!

At soem point I will log in with a proper name, cos I seem to getting mixed up with all the other annons for stopping ppl from having an opinion..... I never have and never will. The only thing I think ALL of us should do when making ciritisms, is to be armed with the right info.

If ppl want to be wrong and strong then then its all good, but I not one for eating humble pie so I like to try and get my facts in order before I make a comment, I obviously made the wrong assumptions that other ppl would want to know too

Anonymous said...

Lol, hottie, girl...PLEASE believe that I am glad at least I have a name on Saucy's blog..and that I don't fall into the blackhole that is "anonymous"...lol! You'll get the hang of it eventually =)

I not addressing anymore on this topic of constructive critism, because it's being taken to far. Like yuhself. Done talk.
