Boots Pics!!

I have been getting emails asking for information on Natalie's boots and funny enough I even got requests for photos of what they looked like, when someone (Jamette) was kind enough to send me photos that she took yesterday. Those are her sexy legs modelling the boots.

So here are some photos of the boots that Natalie did for Island People's launch, all of these are displayed at her store Vamp on Mucurapo Road St.James.

"Jamette" modelling the boots worn with Raiders of the Desert:

These are Natalie's boots that she wore with her costume for 2006, Island People's Fairies:

Matching boots for the section Jewel of the Nile, note she has two styles here, one with beads and one without:

There are no prototypes for the boots for Soleil Brule, she only did boots for certain sections at the launch which are the ones pictured here. I saw sketches that she made for the boots for Soleil however, so you can possibly email her and ask for a description.

i wonder if she would be able to make some boots for my dame lorraine costume??..do u think boots would look nice with dame lorraine?

Yes she can do boots to match any costume and yes I think boots will look good with Dame Lorainne.

Saucy, I take it that all those boots pictured are the regular flat boots with 1" heel? Did she say how high her wedge-heels are?

hi saucy, was there any sketches for the sahara jumbie section?

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

The wedge heels are 1 1/2 inches thick I believe and she had sketches for all the sections in Island People.

Saucy, your site is AMAZING...just a thank you for all your efforts in helping us first-timers from abroad esp. What type of shoes do you recommend for the Jean and Dinah (long skirt option)?? Would sandals hold up throughout the day...I think sneakers would look funny with such a pretty skirt...HELP!!

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

anon that Jean and Dinah long skirt is a hard one; you are right sneakers will not go with that "costume". I personally have no experience playing in sandals, maybe you can look for something flat and comfortable, cross between sneaker and shoe that you might be able to decorate.I'll see if I can find anything on zappos.com

I think the wedges are 2 inches in height. I would have liked to see a pic.

You know what might work for Anon 5:51? A pair of mary-janes in white or bone, or nude. But, make sure that there're insoles (either ready provided, or bought separately). That should give you the sturdiness required, yet still look like feminine.

Also, probably one of those ballet-shaped sneakers... Something like the Skechers Luxe:

saucy - i'm changing my mind again...the boots look good girl...the ones for raiders - was that the flat ones? I thinking of getting just flats for the boots instead of the wedge heel..but given how flat my feet are the heel may just give some support..oh gosh..I have to call natalie and tell her i want my boots!

Thanks saucy

anon I will take your comment knowing that you did not see the boots in person;but of course we are all entitled to our opinions.

dragon princess all the boots pictured are flat ones.

cb those mary jane sneakers are too cute! That is something that would work perfect with Jean and Dinah, and if anon wants she can dress it up with some decorations as well.

The mary j's are cute... tried on a pair at Payless, but I don't think playing wo socks but wearing those footlets would be comfortable.
oh, Saucyd, I changed my mind (that was fast! LOL!) I emailed you my blog link.
