You know that advertisement on T.V. that shows whatever "IT" is ebay has it? Well, it's true! Imagine you can purchase authentic Brazilian Carnival frontline costumes! The store is
Sidney Brazil USA and the prices are not cheap at $899.00 to $1199.00 US for used costumes, but hey, if you want to live out your fantasy of being a samba dancer, this is the site for you!

The costumes are pretty, though they look quite similar to some of the costumes that available for Carnival and our prices are slightly cheaper. You know, I think one of these local bands should have for Carnival 2008 a presentation called "Rio" or "Brazil" so that the costumes can actually match the theme of the band...for once!

The 2nd and last pic the backpack reminds me of Lantana (Poison) and Mirage (Island People). The backback with the feathers streaming off the shoulders I don't think I have seen it done for a section, but I have seen it in Hart's individual costumes.Check their website portfolio and you will see some elaborate costumes:

they real sweet eh. you the leg accesories on the pink costume they look boss. I'm not a fan of the colour pink too much but I love the design of that costume. Not the back pack though too much drama. But I like the blue and red & white backpacks.
These look really detailed and very well made.
Brazil carnival is on another level. I really wonder how it compares to ours?
Yes Kevian, from what I have read it is a competiton among Samba schools; the thing is though the party supposedly never stops! I would love to experience Brazil Carnival one day!
I have always wanted to go to Rio Carnival, but like alluh say before, not everyone can participate. Each of the samba schools comes from like a community or area and they doh really let outsiders into the band just like that. So if you go to Rio you will be a spectator. Not that that is not good cause I am sure that it is definitely something to see and experience in person.
once again i always go off the topic, check out Victori's Secret's website, fantastic collection of boots.
LOL@ anon, thank you for the heads up!
Now we know where some of these bands get their ideas. Look out for 2008.... Just purchased my tickets for Carnival. Depart Feb 3rd return feb 25. Only 595 USD on American NYC to TnT! A few days ago it was almost $800 for the same flight. IP LE SOLEIL BRULÉ here I come...sixpack and all.
hey salsaman, i am also in le soleil brule, and you're welcome saucydiva for telling ya about the boots in victoria's secret, some are impractical for carnival, but some i can see accompanying a costume.
LOVE the design of the pink one. I can see it in other colours too, but that diamond motif is a cool concept.
That pink on is awesome. We talking about how our costumes are expensive at least we get food, drinks, and other ameninties. What am I supposed to do with those from ebay? LOL
not too sure about the balls sticking out of the leg pieces on the pink one, but otherwise, it's incredible!!!!!!!!
