Now I know this has nothing to do with Carnival
really, but how could I resist a post about the mall at Christmas time!? I have been living at the mall this weekend, visiting both West Mall and Trincity Mall numerous times between today and yesterday. In between shopping for gifts for others (only managed to get a few) I was busy shopping for me with my Carnival wardrobe at the back of mind (guess that's where Carnival comes in!).
My quest scored me some excellent finds at Westport Body (accessories on the cheap!), Suite 16 (you do have to hunt for the good stuff) AND I just discovered Suite 16 has opened a accessory and shoe shop at Trincity.... imagine,cute sandals for $65.00!
Here are some photos of my shopping expedition at Trincity mall; for those in Trinidad check out Suite 16's new store and for those of you overseas I hope these scenes at least remind you a bit of the madness that grips Trinis, sending them into a shopping frenzy, come Christmas time:

I have to admit allyuh malls in TNT just as bad as our's are up here in the states during Christmas season - MADNESS!!!

it was soooo great seeing your pics of your time at the malls. i really miss the hustle and bustle but over here it is also hectic. if you want to beat the crowd a little you need to get to the mall early, when it opens. that way you secure a good parking and get in and out early.

Morning saucy..is total MADNESS in the malls especially Trinicty Mall!! and yeah Suite 16 new store have some cool shoes...i was there the min they open..de cash register wasnt even up yet..people flock dat place like is shoes dey giving way..lol..i bought myself 2 pairs in preparation for carnival..i stocking up on my gears.
empress I am also bought a pair for Carnival! I will check them back during the week; too many people mobbed the store over the weekend!

I see the Xmas rush on everywhere. The mall scene stresses me out to no end. Point, click, and enter credit card number. I dont shopping. LOL. I love the net.
Anywoo, Saucy (Or anyone else). I need your advice. This is th first time in a long time I not coming home for Xmas. So I have to send gifts. Because I am sending things to my family via my brother in law, I am trying to keep my gifts light, and not use up all his baggage allowance.
My cousin is a stressed out mother of 3 small children and a school teacher to boot. I would like to get her a gift certificate to a nice day spa to get her pamper on, but I have no idea of the day spas in Trini, and if they offer gift certificates.
Could allyah help me out with some suggestions?

bagogyul leave them men home when you going shopping, they have no paitence for dem ting.I went with my moms and she is a super shopper!
icahwait Marcia Miranda has recently recovered from a battle with cancer (can't remeber the specific type) that's why you have not heard of her for a while.
TOG I can recommend Jen Care or Cher Mere for the day spa. There are others which are probably quite good as well, but these two are the ones that I personally know friends and myself being satisfied with.
Hey you were missed chick; I only saw one boots at Suite 16 and it has a heel.
