Oh gosh I just get excited, super super excited!!Thanks to sweetie 'rah who left a lil comment that TRIBE's 2008 presentation will be "Myths and Magic" I just got confirmation that it is true!!! Allyuh not happy? Allyuh not ready to see costumes? Allyuh just not seeing costumes with wings and baubles and sequins and feathers galore? I think I need to go and lie down now and plan when I starting to hit the gym!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh! I am so excited! I have been tryin to get my mind off a carnival but now I can't. I can't wait for the band launching so I can see what costume I want to prance around in for 2008!
Saucy, European Myths and Magic would fit more of the fantasy theme you are wishing (much more whimsical).
Now, if they do (which I doubt) Trindad Myths and Magic it would be much darker: phantom, duene, socouyant, la jablesse, obeah, etc...

I played a soucouyant for kiddies Carnival. They had to tone down the actual costume for de peepul an dem gyul-chirren, but the drawings were fabulous. We had this huge, round backpack decorated with metallic reds and oranges (similar to Soleil Brulé--not the ribbony one), and what was supposed to be a body suit with airbrushed, flamed patterns on it. A grown-up version to that would be HOTTTTTT, no?

I can't wait but the wings I dunno, I played in bats frontline and the costume was gorgeous I loved it but the wings kept poking people in the eye, and ripping peoples costumes, I swear I told a million people sorry that day I had to throw the wings away about 1pm, so the wings I dunno but I'm all excited to be nearly naked again, I love it sparkles oh lord I can't wait...

I'm thinking stuff from Greek Mythology, or those fairies fantasy type of things. hmmmmm, whatever it is, YMCA will be my second home in order for me to do it justice!

Now,imagine they kept the body suit idea, added pillates (sp), sequins and stones to it. You wear a nude bra and thong under the sheer body suit btw... kinda like this Harts costume:

And the headpice is the fluffy feathers, lots of it cascading down your back and the unicorn horn to the front....like the pic.
And where you see "fluff" in the drawing they use the feathers, fluffy feathers.. on the arms, feet and even add a tail!!! LOL
Man, that would be super swaeeeeet costume :D especially if they used several diff colours for the Unicorns!
