Coming on the heels of news that soca star Slaughter (whose hit song "Soca in meh Blood" was a staple for Carnival 2007 ) will be getting married soon, news has reached me that Machel Montano is also getting married before the end of the year! Apparently Mr. Montano proposed to the lucky lady in Time Square after his hugely successful concert in Madison Square Garden. I can imagine how many broken hearts will be littered all over Trinidad when the news is "official"!

I have one of the designers/administrators of one of the large mas band spending two week here by me on vacation. We JUSS discuss your blog this morning, and how I will keep her abreast of what the people want via your blog. Getting ready for my shower, I jump online where I come and read Machel getting married. So I run out in the hallway with cleanser on my face looking like a goon, wrapped in a towel screaming, "GYAL MACHEL GETTIN MARRIED!!"
She leave the iron on the ironing board and we run back in my room and squeeze up at the computer together, with my husband looking over our shoulder...clicked on the site AND.......
