Tobago Jazz 2007

Thanks to mummylicious for these photos of the Friday night Tobago Jazz Festival concert featuring Kees the Band, Sean Paul and LL Cool J. According to her reports all went well with the ferry ride over as well as with the concert itself.

Shuttle service from the designated car park to the Jazz festival was prompt and efficient and I am happy to report there were no chair rentals. The only negative reported was the layout of the V.I.P. area which mummylicious described as "weird"; the following is her drawing of the Jazz Layout:

I hope everything went well for last night's concert and expect Elton John to put on quite a show tonight. The Trinidad Newsday reports on the Stars of Jazz low key arrival, though I read an interview with Heather Headly on her emotional return to Trinidad and Tobago as well as the "Jazz Boom" with more than 50,000 visitors expected to touch down in Tobago this weekend. For all those in Tobago right now, have fun for all of us who cannot be there.

Looks like everything went well. That's good. Hopefully after all is done, everyone who visted, the tourist who came can take with them the good vibes and exciting time they had in Tobago and only report all the nice things, people and food they enjoyed when they return to their country.

LL looks good as usual.

Funnily enough I heard that teh shuttles were horrible and people were walking for over an hour to get to teh venue cause the parking was so bad.

Well I was there on Friday and last night. It wasn't too bad on Friday night to get out (getting in wasn't a problem, people cant expect to arrive and a bus be waitin on them). THe show on Sat was good. Except for the too long waits between acts. This cause them to announce to Diana Ross mid set that she had to cut her show short. MADNESS!! Wave of noise from patrons and MASS EXODUS!! Gettin in a maxi with over 2000 other people trying to do the same is a recipe for madness. I'll see if tonight is any worse.

CJ that was the Friday night opinion...Saturday and Sunday the shuttle business take a turn for the awful and the dust and VIP situation take a turn for the godawful!! I too shame at meh drawing, i didn't realize this mad lady would post it just so...but that VIP set up was a recipe for disaster. The ONE good thing about VIP was the promixity to the stage...the ONE thing.
