Check out Baje International's
website for a preview of their Crop Over 2007 band "Lost Tribe". Sections include "Ivory Coast", "North Star", "Deep Blue", "Storms of Africa", "Isle de Caribe", "Sacred Treasures" and "Myths of the Mermaid". I am liking Sacred Treasures and Storms of Africa from the preview, just wish they had shown the headpieces for those sections.
The new website will be launched on June 8th with the mas camp opening on June 9th and 12th. I love how these Crop Over bands are giving "teasers" to whet their masqueraders appetites!

Well I have ALWAYS liked Baje-Intl and I think this preview was a stylish and "sexy" way to whet our appetites yet keep us guessing. I know if I were hitting into BIM for CropOver, I'd have been all up in that lime green and lavender "Myth of the Mermaid" business they have going on there....It's just calling meh name. There's something about Mermaids...hmmm. I don't think I'd need a mas with too much tantana for BIM, just something super scandalous and skimpy. (Did I just say that? :O) It's supposed to be all about de road after all! With this presentation I think they have improved significantly from that three ring circus disaster from 2k6. While watching the previews, I didn't know if I was viewing the enchanted forest, what lies beneath, tribal fantasy, or a meteorologist's report..lol.
Anything that screams Px4 or Legacy can't get a look sideways from me. I say those folks can recycle their mas year after yr after yr for fete after fete after fete.....
I also liked the previous offerings from that band Refugees. They had some kool Frontlines. Any word on them yet anyone?
Nuthin yet from Refugees but I suspect their presentation will be out soon.
With regards to PX4 I must agree that there is a little creativity in their design....but for me I ALWAYS have a great time on the road!!!

I keep hearing the same thing about Px4 year after year, but I CANNOT wear that mas. I will not even pretend or front....I's ah social Trini and I need ah pretty mas. The best solution for me would be to get a Baje mas and jump with them and at some point invade Px4 out of sheer maccociousness! ;)

marcus i agree, powerx4 repeats costumes but it is by far the best band on the raod. last yr baje had too much issues they trying to be to damm preppy. i heard earlier this week that their costumes will be from 400-700, i know that is a rumour cause that aint even funny!
i really love baje mermaind section though..wish i can see if it had a headpiece. but because of my commintment to powerx4 vip section i will be playing with powerx4. i must get to get wuk up like a jumbie this yr lol

The Baje International launch gine be at Whispers (Old Bayshore Complex) at 6pm this Friday
Its a press launch so I in sure if it is a private thing, but I gine make my way there after work
