OK is it me or is Geronimo Tribe's sinature costume and didnt they copy it last year too.
I dont really follow Harts - different vibe and I know that headpiece is tradional Kalliecharan Indian mas but WTF !!!
Actually Sandocutie Indian Mas is Hart's signature costume years before it became TRIBE's :D Every year you will see an Indian Mas and an African Mas from Harts.
OK Saucy I wont dis them for biting Tribe when truth be told I never paid any attention the them before.
Thanx for d correction :>)
next tuesday? as in next week? what they waiting for???
Das true Saucy, Harts has a tradition of an Indian and an African mas , no matter what their theme is. It's actually quite amazing that they do that.....LMAO
To elaborate on what Saucy said - Harts has favoured 'historical' themes since 1961. One of their constants for many years has been the Fancy Indian and African themes.
They also like to feature some sort of gladiator or Roman soldier theme now and then, as well as Egyptian, Polynesian, Cowboy and Viking style csotumes. So you will see those popping up very frequently over the years as well.
I think this is their forte, since the designs tend to fall down a bit (in my opinion) whenever they veer too far from the historical mas' formula. I also think that's one of the reasons that their men's costumes are always so nice, since men tend to benefit from more of a 'macho' theme.
they need an all inclusive!!
Listen, I am a carnivalbaby too, how come I never knew this before!! After i dis them so much last year - thank you for stopping me from making more of a jacka## of myself this year.
I still ent want to play with them doh, an my husband only really care about d armband and shortpants to wash d car in during summer LOL
Any news on when Harts' website is going to be up, and what the situation is with the costumes?
I'm a carnival virgin in London so not really sure what's going on or how to secure a costume that won't humiliate me entirely.
jc the mas camp said the website will be up by next Tuesday. If that will happen on the exact date remains to be seen.
Check my archives from last week for photos and prices of Harts costumes.
Harts absolutely sticks to
their formula....The
pic on this site is fine.
....call, fax the Band House,
you will be fine..however,
if you want to be part of one
of the drink that has to be
done in cash approx $500 TT
for both days when you collect
your costume...
I have been playing w/ Harts
for a long time, selected
my 2 Costumes off this
site, have my loyal friend
