Oracle will open the doors to the mas camp "sometime next week" according to sources and prototypes of actual costumes will be on show! Rumor has it that the mas camp will be located at Mc Farlane's "old" mas camp on Ariapita Avenue.
The band launch is slated to take place at the end of October. Persons interested in playing with Oracle can pre-register online for a discount and access to all information as it becomes available. The final section of Oracle's 2008 debut presentation "Gnothi Seauton" will be revealed soon.

WHOOHOO!!!
This blog reminds me of th one which you posted on week ago.
Alot of negative comments about Trevor Wallace's designs for the upcoming year and his costumes; most of them negative.
When I asked him who his designer was this year, he told me that it was Aaron Schnider; ie. the designer behind Oracle.
I am just curious to see what comes out of his camp this year.
Taboo last year Wayne Berkley did some FAB designs for Trevor Wallace, I even posted them on the blog if you want to check the archives. However the translation from design to actual product is where something went wrong! I do not doubt that Aaron designed the costumes but was he responsible for making them?
I did indeed design trevor's costumes, the problem (and the main reason I am out on my own now) is that the translation from design to delivery falters badly, I am interested in mas, I am interested in the story it tells the world of our people, when bandleaders take the designs and try to turn them into a more "commercial" version of themselves it just does not work, however this is mere talk, you will see the real thing soon
I love this rejuvenation of Carnival..and I cannot wait to see the end result. This band should be amazing to watch on the roads for 2008!
