Last year it was all about the green string, used as a symbol of solidarity and identification for those who read this blog. This year the concept has been revamped thanks to one blogger who made all the arrangements to have these blogger bands designed:
Unfortunately the bands have already been assigned and allocated and no new orders can be taken, but do look out for it on the road. If you recognize someone with an orange wrist band, don’t be afraid to ask if they read “Saucy’s” blog! Chances are you might even see me sporting my blogger band in the secret section!!

Saucy ah find you moving like de organizers of the Vale fete. So what about yuh loyal readers who now hearing bout this. Last year i was breaking mih damn neck in Tribe looking for de green string. steeuupss now to see yuh have new and improved version and only the priviledged get and the rest of us in de blizzard?? Come nah man!! Even if it was on sale to bloggers only i would of payed for one.
empressnats I was not the one who decided on these bands, it was another blogger's idea; she organized it,ordered it and paid for it but she only ordered a certain qunatity. Subsequent to that I just sent out an email to those who are in my contacts telling them about the bands and to indicate interest in getting one. If you did not receive an email then I do not have you in my contacts. That was the method I used because many people email me but not all are regular blog readers that I can identify.
Last year I was breaking my neck for the green string as well, and apart from myself and one other person I didn't see anyone wearing it!! LOL.

That's a good idea, AC. It wasn't a fancy thing, so it could still be done.
But, it is important to note that the bands are not a membership symbol. It was just one person trying to do something nice and others jumping in after. I don't really keep up as much as others because I'm always at work, so I wasn't aware of the decision being made.
If anything, the bands should be considered a lighthouse or a flag. It biggin' up Saucy's blog, yes.
But, also it serves as a beacon. A beacon of hope...to carnival revellers everywhere.
LOL! No, it just means people might gravitate towards that person and then meet other people.
