For all those who were anxiously and impatiently awaiting TRIBE's The Secret of Silk
Website, it it now up:
As I predicted the website is up but minus prices so for me, at least, the website being up is really no big deal. And if you are hoping to see the back shots of costumes, well only some costumes show the back; there is no back shot of Charmeuse though many of you are wondering what it looks like. I do like that they have photos of the smaller headpiece options as well as the different frontline/individual options for some sections as well. The men finally have costumes to mull over !
But I am puzzled as to Mystery of Loulan's strapless option label of an "Individual" costume when I thought that was just another option for frontline, so does this mean only ONE of that costume will be made? It is the same with Osage; Osage has a huge feathery headpiece labeled as frontline while the option with the large collar is labeled as an "Individual".....again, will only ONE be made/sold?
The photography is beautiful, some of the costumes look really good on the website. Interesting to note I cannot view more photos of Fire Silk and Zari's frontline is not there either. The reason for the latter is, I was informed, because Zari has a new frontline which will be up on the website soon; cannot wait to see it. Random thought, is Threads of Morocco Frontline bra strapless? Hurry up with prices TRIBE!

Not impressed with the lack of coverage on the bumsee part of the waistpieces.
Actually, not impressed with the general lack of waistpieces. TRIBE, you done fell off! I know I will be demanding the addition of some beads or whatever to my waistpiece.
And like somebody got a little airbrush happy! How come all the models have green eyes and their faces so smooth, smooth?
BUT I do think the site looks fab and I'm just waiting on prices. Oh, and I love the boots the Eri BL model was wearing, and the strappy shoes one of the other models wore (I think for Loulan and TP).
I too am still very confused bout Osage!
Loulan backline still does not do it for me. The frontline is magificent but I still do not see the draw. I am going towards Charmeuse or Xi Ling Chiif I can get them. I am a little bit afraid of Charmeuse because the "trikini" style highlights any spare fat on the tummy area so it will have to be a starvation diet to get into it. Mulberry and Habotai and Erie also in contention, the chopsticks should be off in Habotai... that go juk somebody eye we.
And actually Serica does not look too bad... I actually like the contrast of the sash with the costume, add a large headpiece to that and you ready to go.. hot as gas!!!
Ok, Osage with the collar IS an Individual as in only one....Bunny they smart eh, no back shot of Charmeuse or Eri.. Eri has a side shot lol!
Bunny the green eyes are contacts.. contacts and extensions and yes LOTS of airbrushing, just like the magazines :)
They only figure they smart you know Sauce, but they not ready for the Bunny. My money go be LITERALLY jumping up in a mas band so they better damn well put some sequin strings or SOMETHING on that waistpiece.
Not everybody bumsee as smooth and tight as the models. Airbrushing isn't possible in real life! And I don't want mine (tights or not) to be on display so. The public ain't piss me off that bad that I want to foist my bottom on them!
And I feel the people who get ketch in the Continga bumsee debacle this year, will be the SAME people getting ketch in the Charmeuse debacle next year when they go to collect. Allyuh, it have bumsee shots of Charmeuse on Facebook. Go and find them before registration, or shut the hell up when you go for collection!
Can anyone who has been to the mass camp tell me if the large option headpieces (eg Osage and Tyrian) are as big as they look in the pics? Or is it the the photography angle and perhaps leaning forward making them appear that size?
I have to ask because I was one of those who felt ill at the sight of what was givin to me when I collected cotinga this year!
ms bunny, i think all the models suddenly have blue eyes! and i sooo agree w/ u on the waist pieces...dats y ive been griping on TRIBE since the launch; i must have my waist peices. are waist pieces going out of style??? and to me sum of the closeups looks like there were taking from a camera phone, sum of the details of the gems look blurry....maybe its my monitor screen and my light's reflecting. and i can adjust to the long leg pieces, its...aaight but i think they should have modeled it w/ more simple heels. the leg pieces already have straps, y use a strapier shoe?? makes the shoe looks waaay to busy and takes away from the leg pieces.
ALL I CAN SAY IS FYAH, FYAH, FYAH!! WORK IT OUT LADIES, WORK IT OUT! THIS IS NOT A GAME, SKIMPINESS IN FULL EFFECT!!!! :-) LOVE IT! LOL
rwb they are as big as they look in MY pics lol. I think they are true to representation.. the problem is what will you get after it is produced...!!!
I'm really impressed with the site but a little turned off by the extensive airbrushing...otherwise, it is what it is. Still loving Charmeuse...which really and truly is just chains around the waist so no reason to be fooled when you pick up; can't believe the strapless version of Loulan is an individual..oh well....and Mulberry is a beauty..clearly I have my preferences....I must get into one of the 3...Frontline or backline will do. PRICES POSTED TUESDAY..as per website; can't wait to see what they have in store for us.
Oh, and the long piece of material hanging from the headpiece of Charmeuse seems the only coverage that you'll get as far as "bumsee" goes...but I could be wrong..we shall see. Still love it!!
We'll see what happens after production this year since for the past few years the end result is usually a scaled down version.
*kicks rocks* @ the strapless Loulan being an Individual....WTH??? Why??? Man, I still can't decide...I'll wait till the prices come out...
Interesting Tribe is offering "with boots" option with some sections. Hmmm?
Although this isn't a section I am considering, Lapis Lazuli looks a lot better on the website than it did in the previous photos or at the launch. I actually like the details.
Kerryann you're right, Charmeuse really and truly is just chains around the hips...wish i could see what the back looks like though. Bunny can you please send the Facebook link with the bumsee pics, thanx :)
I wonder what the new Zari frontline will look like, hmmm...
In my humble opinion there are some costumes that are outstanding Osage Charmeuse Loulan and Tyrian Purple. I must say that Lapis has also caught my eye on the website.
One quick observation....Tribe costumes, as they are on the site, only caters for size seven and under......they are extremely skimpy
Saucy i called the mas camp to obtain info about whole piece, tank top and coset options but i was unable to obtain any. Could you see what info they make avaliable to you
WHOA...i noticed that the backline headpiece for Loulan is much different on the website than the the launch pictures....and I LOVE that version of the backline headpiece.
Well if coverage is a must, it looks like Lapis is the only option. Otherwise, it's sheer skimpiness. But after viewing the pics, my top choices are:
Mulberry: love the headpiece
Osage: love the color and larger headpiece
Tyrian Purple: again love the details and headpiece
I really like Charmeuse but I'd need to see the back and it does need more detailing on the bra. Bring on the prices!
