I was kinda worried when I heard Legacy's theme for 2010 as it was way too close to IP's but after seeing the costumes... yawn. Give me Kutchela over this bland Masala any day!
Hmm Better male costumes than a Certain Band that would Remain Nameless...
Which one Trinibears? I would love to see the fellars rock Chinnah Peacock.
Am I seeing the same male costume for both Bollywood and Jaipur Market?
I was wondering the same thing Trini2dbone. Plus Lotus is also purple. How Legacy explaining that? Is either a mistake or is boldface laziness.
>Cherry< Da Is wa ah Talking Bout. that costume self but with a printed shorts not a plain one. Maybe a few incheh longer but NO under de Knee length "Boardshorts"
Y'know, these costumes are actually cute. It's a shame they're not really showing much Indian elements, just a hint of it in two sections.
At least they're a major improvement from the 2009 costumes.
I visited the mas camp this weekend and found the costumes just as underwhelming.
Not bad. Legacy's followers at least have something pretty to jump up in compared to some other "high society" bands that didn't do much better.
Kerryann, I agree. My initial reaction of the first pictures (about two weeks ago) was quite harsh. But with these posed pictures, I think the band could make "Masala" quite fun on d road. But ah still rel tired with the cookie cutter male "formula" costumes, however "well" it works here.
LIKE CARNIVALCOCOA I TOO THINK THE COSTUMES ARE COOL, I LIKE THEM, BUT ARE A BIT LACKING IN THE ESSENCE OF THE THEME. BOLLYWOOD & JAIPUR MARKET AREN'T THE ONLY MALE DUPLICATES HOWEVER. MASALA & TAJ @ SUNSET ARE ALSO THE SAME, ONLY DIFFERENCE IN THE PICS ARE THE PANTS, TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION HOWEVER THAT THE LONG PANTS, BOARD SHORTS & TIGHTS ARE OPTIONS IN ALL THE SECTIONS & YOU'RE LEFT WITH NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2. AS WITH THE BOLLYWOOD & JAIPUR MARKET DUPLICATES, THE MASALA & TAJ @ SUNSET DUPLICATES ARE ALSO THE SAME COLOR. SO I'M INCLINED TO AGREE WITH DINO & CALL THIS LAZINESS.
Just wondering...does anyone know what the perks of joining the VIP section are? i.e. how is it better than the others? Also, does Legacy provide monday wear and goodie bags? It's not mentioned on their website...
Legacy does not provide Monday wear and I do not remember if they provide goodie bags.
The year I played with them It was with an outside section and I got goodies bags with them, not sure if the band itself does so as well, I assume they do.
thanks afro chic. i'm thinking of going with the khus khus VIP section. they said they provide monday wear, didn't mention those goodie bags though... does the outside section play with the rest of the band, or are they isolated?
