How long does a band have to be in existence to present a "Signature Collection"? And, what exactly is this theme about? Are they going to showcase their best costumes from the last TWO presentations? This simply does not make any sense, should have stuck with the Savage Amazon theme.
Oh well, I do hope they have costumes to show at Zen by Sunday August 8th, rumour is the band leader is designing 7 sections and the dynamic duo is doing ZERO, not to mention I have been told no costume prototypes are done as yet!
Anyhow you take it I am definitely going to be at Spice's band launch, I cannot wait to see this one!

Saucy, Sometimes your bitterness towards certain bands is becoming really grating, unless its your beloved "Tribe" i for one am looking forward to seeing all the band launches for Carnival 2011 even if the themes sound a bit off or a repeat of what they have already done in "Tribes" case.

It's very easy to have a narrow mind towards bands we don't receive very well or taking the limelight from the band we are in from time to time, but it shows a true sportsman to look at it with an open mind.............
this maybe one reason why the traffic on your Blog and comments from your followers is so poor these days unless its bacchanal or Band Ponging you have nothing of real substance to say any more.

I doh like that theme. It sounds like anything could go in it. Signature Collection is not a theme, its a concept! Back to the drawing board I say.
Anyways I would not play with them after Afrochic experience (not that it seems they would miss my money) so they dont need to listen.

signature collection suggests past costume hits....which would make sense if they were around for more than 2 carnivals!!!!

I agree with redgirl on how the theme CAN be interpreted. Me eh know bout the blog following tra la la she claiming. But there is not just one way to interpret a theme and I for one look forward to seeing how Spice represents.
I don't get the people that say Saucy hates on Spice...this BLOG sold Spice this year. People didn't know anything about Spice and their costumes, designers etc until Saucy started praising them. A lot of people read this blog and went with Spice...even I was thinking about it based on the reviews... *smh* So I blame Saucy for getting people's damn hopes up to play with Spice!!!! LOL
And NOW you couldn't catch me playing with them based on the reviews from here..LOLOL! And those reviews were by the masqueraders NOT Saucy. If I don't play with Tribe I'll probably end up playing with Yuma based on just what's been discussed here (i.e. the designers)...and then IP or Pulse 8 before I even consider Spice..*smh*
LMAO! If it grating why visit?! Confused!!!! BUT I disagree that this post was a bitter commentary. Think about it? There is some validity to pondering what constitutes a "signature" look/idea/theme. Who is to say if there is a stipulated length of time to claim a signature look? But is still okay to ponder if the title fits (with no bitterness involved).
Signature Collection or what... I in Spice... I had a damn good time this year... who cares about drama, once I enjoying myself I doh give a damn!!
I lorse with that theme. But I look forward to the costumes regardless.
