In direct response to the growing need for aid that one can expect after the passing of a hurricane and an appeal for help from one of St Lucia's Permanent Secretaries, KARMA Carnival Band, the St Lucia International Carnival Committee (SLICC), Cormesse & www.stluciaweek.com are teaming up to collect supplies from the public as part of our St Lucia Hurricane Tomas Relief Drive.
An initiative of this nature requires that all the ground work is in place to ensure that distribution in St Lucia is managed by a legitimate agency that will ensure supplies gets to persons who need them most urgently. To that end we've secured the assistance of the St Lucia Red Cross to spearhead the distribution process on the ground.
We therefore urge everyone (regardless of nationality) to help us help the people of St Lucia right now by donating non-perishable food items (rice, water etc), personal hygiene goods (toothpaste, soap etc) & clothing to:

The needs of the people of St Lucia in the wake of this disaster is urgent and as a Caribbean community so too must our response & call to action be just as urgent & immediate.

This is great; but, for those of us that live too far from any drop off locations or simply can't find the time to make it to one, a PayPal or something to collect monetary donations would be ideal
