Victoria Secrets Fashion Show 2010

Ever since I first saw photos in early November of this year's Angels at the Victoria Secret's Fashion Show I was enthralled with the fact the wings look so over the top fantastic this year, almost as if someone was inspired by our Carnival....or is it the other way around? If you caught the show last night there were some creations that could easily fit in at home on the road with one of the popular bikini and beads bands, certainly inspiration for sprucing up your costume!

Here are some of my favourites! I love love love Chanel Iman's entire costume:

The large backpack made up entirely of peacock feathers is unbelievably stunning. I could see that being a gorgeous individual costume. The part peacock monokini is also very FIERCE!

Saucy, you picked the winners right there. I also want to include the basket weave wings: www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Lindsay+Ellingson+2010+Victoria+Secret+Fashion+kMRSHVWLNY8l.jpg

That could definitely be done in the islands, as in Granny's basket weaving gone FIERCE.

While watching the show last night, I too thought that they were inspired by either Trinidad and Tobago carnival or Brazil.

The show itself however was boring. As the years go by, the less impressed I am with the lingerie.

Missed the show, but that peacock monokini is the business!

As for the inspiration - sorry to knock our local designers - but I don't think that our BBF costumes here are for the most part original, with the exception of a few designers. In fact, I'm sure we may see a couple versions of these on the road in years to come. Brazil, Vegas and Burlesque shows could also be excellent inspirations.
