Though sections in Harts 2008 Carnival presentation seem to be still open for registration ONLINE, the following notice appeared in yesterday's newspaper:
I guess it is just a matter of time before the website is updated with this information. Carnival 2008 seems to be a good year for mas since we now have two bands totally sold out before the end of 2007; quite unlike the slower sales in 2006!
My prediction is that Island People will be the next band to be SOLD OUT.
Got to hand it to Harts for taking a costume that is not attracting enough interest and re work it, notably after other sections have sold out; check out the new South Pacific:

And, another option to Chicago was added with the blue costume:

In the face of popular opinion if only other sections in other bands *cough*Bear*cough could be given an upgrade as well!

Despite being one of only two large bands that are NOT offering their masqueraders that all-inclusive package (Mc Farlane is the other) Harts is steadily selling out sections like no body's business! This time the section 300 is sold out bringing the total count to seven sold out sections.
I have to also add that Prince of Egypt female costume is priced at a whopping $3735.00 for the section leader! As gorgeous as it is that costume is pretty expensive, especially as it is costume ALONE at that price.
