Today’s Express has an article on the scaled down Panorama , I don’t know just how much smaller Panorama will be but certainly I, my friends and several other people I know will not be there. All who are still going enjoy the North Greens for me!
Small scale Pan Sunday

A much scaled down version of the National Panorama semi-final round takes place today at the Paddock area of the Queen's Park Savannah, Port of Spain, from 9 a.m., when the Panatics Steel Orchestra will open the proceedings competing in the Small Band category.
A total of 45 bands are scheduled to face the judges in the three categories of competition: Small, Medium and Large.
Dubbed Pan Sunday as well as the Savannah Party by pan lovers, the Panorama Semis has traditionally been one of the biggest events of Carnival, attracting at times as many as 40,000 people that fill out the Grand and North Stands as well as the Drag at the Savannah.
With all of these facilities gone and only a small stand that can accommodate roughly 4,000 people along with a smaller floor space, it's left to be seen what size crowd will be attracted today.
There is also not much space available for the coolers that the "posses" bring with them for the long day that has, in some years, gone on until 3 a.m. on Monday.
Pan Trinbago is, however, confident that the event will be a rousing success and promises a treat for the real pan music lovers.
The T&TEC Power Stars will kick off competition in the Medium Band category at roughly 2 p.m. once everything runs smoothly at the start and proceeds steadily.
The first Large Band to face the adjudicators will be Skiffle Bunch, which is playing the Len "Boogsie" Sharpe composition entitled "Sharing Licks", as arranged for the band by Ken "Professor" Philmore.
Defending champion Phase II Pan Groove competes led by Sharpe and also playing "Sharing Licks" in position 15.
Closing the day's activities will be Our Boys from Tobago, playing "Soca Is It", composed by soca artiste Chucky and arranged by Roger Sardinah.
