Many thanks to
TrinidadJunction.com for the following photos and email from KOZKELLE, the leaders of the section "Les Aristocrates" in the band Trini Revellers for 2007. This costume is one of my favourites from the band The French Revolution, as I posted yesterday, so I was quite pleased to get some more details to pass along.

Unfortunately there will be no website for this section, but for those interested here is some more information:
Hello folks,
Here’s a preview of KOZKELLE’S costume LES ARISTOCRATES, in Trini Revellers ‘07 presentation, The French Revolution.
As you can see we have several variations to the costume, designed to suit all moods.
We will be at our own mas camp at 177 Tragerete Rd, corner of Pole Carew St, just before Roxy, from November 3rd.
To our foreign supporters, please feel free to email me with any questions that you may have.
To our locals, you can email or call me at the #s below
As always , see you on on the road and thanks for supporting us.

Interesting concept but I don't like the colours. I could see this in a white and gold or pale yellow and silver or something, with huge gorgeous pale plumes. I really hafta bring out a band oui! Lemme go and earn the capital. Morning Sauce! I feeling more like people this morning.
Morning Y'all:
I did not want to comment of yesterday's post, it was waaaay too much drama for me. But hopefully today we can keep it civilized. Saucy girl you might have to edit your disclaimer yes...sheesh!
But anyhoo, I checked out the pics on carnival scene, and I love the concept, a few of the costumes are cool, including this one, but it does not scream 'Trini Mas' to me. I could really more see it in a Mardi Gras, and not in the kinda bacchanal we carry on with here, ie. most of the costumes not very practical for Trini Carnival....TO ME. And before anyone jump down my throat, yes, I love meh bikini, beads and feathers mas. And yes, every bun have its cheese, so I know people will go nuts over these, and they're entitled to do so.
And DAT is what yuh call taking front before in front take yuh.
warrior someone else who is involved in the mas fraternity said the same thing as you, that the costumes are indeed nice/creative but in his estimation will have to be "toned down" or "devamped" to make them practical for Trini Carnival. Case in point is the men clothed in full suits, though quite stunning he can see many men NOT wanting to parade through the streets with all that paraphanelia on.As well as the huge headpiece for Royal Court,he said although quite stunning it looked impractical for the road.
I can certianly see your point and his, and as a result I think the section/band leaders for TR may have to make changes and alternations to suit people's tastes. Maybe the fully clothed costumes can become like characters or section leaders/frontline while people who want less cloth or "tantala" can get a toned down version of the costumes.
I like this one though, I think it looks very wearable for the road, and I can see both young and old liking this section.
i like the male version......
I like this section. Its practical for de road you can always get the train shortened if you like.
Keeping my comments short not to offend anyone but I think TR is keeping with there Theme French Revolution, & if they did go with just the beads etc..it might not been appropriate for their presentation. I agree that some may have to be toned down, I guess when ppl register they may make changes if they r getting complaints on the excessive use of materials.
Listen, what is up with all of the damn apologizing and disclaiming in this place? Your opinion is exactly that: YOUR OWN! If yuh have someting to say, just do so and SAY IT. As long as yuh not cussing down everybody and dey mummah is no worries, ent? Dis Internet biz is turning into rhel 'tory:
Saucy get discuss in a meeting.
Hottie had a letter written to she.
Anon and Alexia buse-ing out.
Somehow I feel I's de next one up at de batting cage...Tag! You're it!
As for me, this section has committed the cardinal sin of utilizing two colors which I.M.O. should never be united: RED and PURPLE. But it suits the theme and looks a HELL of a lot better than that disgrace of a "Celosia" section in Poison some years back. And thus I curtsey, then take a bow, step back, and tell grandfaddah NO THANK YOU now. I'll pass...
Sarrrcy, I also had concerns about the road practicality of that big, beautiful headpiece in "Royal". But wha de heck? It FABULOUS!
Prettidolli u too much, no wonder everybody like to hear from yuh..i agree.. and i turned my frown upside down as u suggested! :)
Meh muddah does say I ent no trip but de whole flipping voyage! Dais cool Alexia, I glad yuh do just that! But eheh Anonymous, you too. How yuh do? De two ah allyuh juss lemme know de next time yuh go duke it out, cuz' I gine pon Ebay and purchase ah Don King wig. Den ah goh go sell tix. A profit go mek somewhey...LOL. Oops, sorry Sarrcy!
Halloween coming....Don King? Hmm..
