If you have checked Trini Revellers
website recently you may have noticed that it looks a bit different; that's because one of the costumes is missing. D Krewe's The Royalty section has one less costume, they have decided to replace the yellow costume with a totally new costume which should be on both Trini Revellers and D Krewe's website by the end of the week. From the information I received the new costume will be lilac and judging from the other costumes I am sure this new one will be gorgeous.
The first time
I visted D Krewe's mas camp I was informed that they were not going to be producing the yellow costume, however I saw it make an appearance at both the Trini Revellers launch as well as on the website making me believe that they were indeed offering the costume. Seems like they have decided not to go that route afterall. Could it be because of the comparison's to Poison's Rico Soldato from 2006 Carnival? You decide:

(click to enlarge)What happed to the abundence of coque feathers a well as the super long pheasant feathers featured on the original headpiece? Certainly these masqueraders did not get the "prototype" version, see how some of these section leaders don't give us, masqueraders not only what we paid for but what they themselves advertise!

the same thing happened with Earth People in Island People 2006. We all got money back because so many people complained that it looked nothing like the prototype.
But the complaints against IP will never done!? If I was dese people I eh bring out a next band nah!
Hmmm well I played in Ricco Soldato this year and lemme tell you I didn't mind the so-called 'abridged' headpiece cause the damn thing kept flyin off meh damn head anyway, worse yet if it was bigger!
I do think my headpiece was a bit bigger than that though.. lemme check meh pics.. hold on eh... Ok ah lie is the same size as those ladies. Like I eh even realize I get cheat so. Those 'prototypes' were much nicer! Oh well thaz spilt milk.. Must be well sour and curdled an ting by dis point...
As for those D Krewe costumes, is jus a yellow version of Ricco Soldato for real. They exchange some beading with some tassles and called that "The Royalty" haha.
