Thank you Saucy! You have brought some light into my rather dreary day!

Saucy,
DO you know if they will be stopping at a park this yr. for lunch or are we going to be rushing to eat again while trying to keep up with the trucks!?

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

ms scared sand no, the information says "lunch on the move with 3 food trucks"

Anonymous said...

That makes no sense!!1 Can you imagine what it's like trying to eat peas and rice and stewed chicken on the move!!!??? These ppl have no sense!

imagine u in yuh pretty costume sitting on the side of the road rushing to eat lunch from a box before the band go too far. That was one thing I did not like with Poison.

Harts has a lunch stop and I really appreciated that when I played with the, even though they were not all inclusive there was stuff on sale at the lunch stop to eat.SImilarly I also like that with TRIBE.

I prefer the "moving" lunches, actually. My sis and I stopped, sat on our bandanas in a park, ate at our own pace, and then caught up with the band in no time. I think the band slowed down its pace a little because they weren't that slow during the rest of the route.

These ppl have no sense!
You have none either if you dont know what lunch on the move means.

nah i didnt mind lunch on the move last year either. i just posted pu on the wall and ate, a quick five minutes and follow the truck again. i play my money to pay mas, not eat a set a food. sitting in one place on carnival mon/tue makes me feel anxious

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

well to each his own, my thinking is I pay too much money to sit on the streets and hurry down a meal!

Taking a rest stop for 15 mins so that people can eat and take a 5 is not so hard to organise and just a lil summtin extra I have come to appreciate.

i spoke to one of the organizers of ip and the band will be stopping for lunch

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

ok, well they need to revamp the booklet which says lunch will be on the move :S

I found a bunch of people I had lost at Tribe rest stop..

Anonymous said...

what about tribe's menu for breakfast and lunch??

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

anon if I had the menu I would post it :D LOL

Anonymous said...

you know ip menu, and you don't know your band tribe's menu????

Anonymous said...

I'm so glad that IP is stopping for lunch, they really are listening to their masqueraders...I really think this yr is going to be better than last yr...My friends wanted to switch to tribe and I was like, lets stay loyal and stick it out with IP one more yr and see how it goes...I'm looking forward to the IP experience now...

Oh and saucy...I think a certain "anonymous, 3:31 pm" person who apparently seems to be on the IP staff is quite bitter! I think someone needs to give that person a hug and let him/her know that ppl are entitled to have an opinion especially when they pay thousands of dollars for a costume :)

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

girl I don't know what wrong with anon lol. But I in the Carnival Spirit so I doh cater :D

To answer the question Island People gave the menu with costume collection, Tribe did not. I posted the info for people who are playing with IP, so that they can see what their menu is like.

Contrary to some people's belief although I am playing with TRIBE I give iformation about ALL other bands when and if I get it!

At this point I not too concerned with TRIBE's menu, cause I know it will be great as usual :D
