TRIBE Frontline and Individual Costumes

There seems to be some sort of discrepancy on whether frontline costumes will require full or 50% payment upon registration. What is clear though is that these costumes, and the individuals, will require a specially priced down payment I will await official word from TRIBE when it comes time to register and in the interim prepare for whatever the decision is as I am 100% sure I am playing a frontline and I have chosen a costume.

Yesterday I made a trip to Cascadia once again to observe the rest of the frontline and individual costumes on display. The previous day I was unable to see them as they were not out on show up until I left, but I am happy to report that all the costumes are available for viewing. Just some information on the following costumes:

Silver Mist Frontline – I touched, prodded and examined the spokes on the backpack and they are made of soft, foam material that reminds me of a pool noodle. There should be no concern about poking anyone’s eyes out with the spokes as they are quite soft, even the spear like tips are made of the same foam material.

Silver Mist Back Pack

Lady of the Lake – There is a back pack that fits over both shoulders and which "sprouts" the feathers to one side. It is supposedly light and the cape goes over the back pack, so you have the option of wearing the cape only, cape and back pack or back pack alone. The cape hooks unto rings on the bra strap so it is easily removed. Please note the fabric used for the cape is Versace as I was told by the designer of all these fabulous frontlines and Individuals Douglas John who I had the ultimate pleasure of meeting yesterday!!

Back of Lady of the Lake

I will not go into too much detail on the individual costumes as only one person each will get to wear them anyway so no use lusting behind something we cannot have right? I will say that the white individual costume is called "Elvian Princess" and that Black Magic is a stellar costume, the details are amazing; it is like a crystal bliss ! Both Phoenix and Black Magic use Versace fabric in the design as well.

SAUCY!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah cornfuse!¬
Ah find Black Magic looking real hot on the site but I hear the black real flat in person. I real like Silver Mist but I hate the back of the waistband and the headpiece too low down ah find. Ah loving GOC but a lil worried that it mightn't look as hot in person as on site? It looks like the headpiece doesn't quite match the costume. Is this true? WRITE MEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bra for black magic, which is the only piece of black showing is a matte black bra,not a satin and is the only thing looking "flat". The beads are not shimmery or shiny so I don't know if that is what people mean when they say it flat, but the beads are nice and there are stones/jewels that look like crystal on the bra and belt. The headpiece has rhinestones.

I do not like the back of the waist band either for Silver Mist. I ent look too good at the headpiece, but yeah it fits low on the forehead.

GOC awesome costume, I could see you in that. Halter bra, thong with that skimpy belt.. the costume sexy too bad!! There are two headpieces and yuh right, the feathers are a burgundy and red, maybe if they add some orange like the frontline headpiece maybe? But it is a moot point I find as overall the whole costume looks good together.

Yes VERSACE JJ.. lmao.. I LOVE it.. too sweet :D

Orange? The costume eh orange? What kinda shade a red is that? Redishy orangy?

The bra and belt is RED.. like fire engine red, but the beads on the belt hanging to the front are red/orange/gold. The decorations are gold with red and orange stones, and brown leather ties with gold beads. The frontline headpiece uses orange feathers. Check out these pics here for a close up:

Whey Sauce sweets, yuh sure Douglas John design all the frontline and individuals? I am floored on this! That is an amazing outpour of artistic vision in those pieces. There are very few design elements from one piece to the next. And taking it to the cutting edge with Silver Mist is quite forward thinking as well. Simply beauty work all around. Fantastic! I know there is a collaborative effort to bring out a design from sketches to construction, so props to the TRIBE team as well.

Ladies, please do these designs justice on d road!!! (and allyuh know I am not biased to any one bikini mas band.)

I just wanna know why the frontline sections for example black magic and silver mist are not available for viewing on the website.....anyone knows??

Versace? That sounding kinda doubtful..unless some fishy fabric remainder person lie and tell them it was Versace. Since when Versace does do tie-dye? Steups. They're all sleek and clean solids with a few fine prints now. Not no peachy ting. Maybe it's some left overs from the 80s? But even then they don't do anything so.

LOL or the kinda VeRRsace like NikEE you does find on the sidewalk in town!

hahahahahahahaahah anon 6:17 jokes!

Black Magic is not up on the site because it's an individual person. Only the chosen one, yes?

Hi saucy - I want to get mas boots for next year - similar to some I saw in pics - with fabulous decorations. Do you know where I can get this ordered?

JayJayGhatt said...

well, it is possible that the designers got some discount bulk discontinued fabric from a trunk sale in New York or London's fabric district. That stuff can be ordered online and shipped international too. Who knows.

Trinidad Carnival Diary said...

jj yuh know; how I get is how ah selling it!! The designer say "Versace" not me LMAO.

I like the costume and could care less if the fabric come from Italy or Jimmy Aboud on Queen Street.

IF I want it I will pay for it and I am not asking anyone to believe anything, we all smart and have sense here ;)
