As Seen At Cariwest Caribbean Carnival 2009..

Yes, I am late but I only NOW stumbled upon this ode to "Mystery of Loulan" spotted at the Cariwest Caribbean Carnival Festival, City of Edmonton, Alberta  held on August 8th 2009. Girlfriend was pretty quick on the draw, I only have to believe she whipped up this costume within two weeks after TRIBE launched on July 25th, 2009!

Top marks for creativity and execution given the materials used, fail on the flip flops! More pics HERE and HERE.

She really did an amazing job, considering she only had two weeks, and all the way out there in Edmonton no less. Wow!

Nice effort from the quite inspired and inspiring young lady (Canadian, most likely.) However, not for nothing it kindda proves that TRIBE Toronto NEEDS to be in Caribana to up the bikini mas standards and ditch the standard (shown in pic; headpiece fit is dated as well) ;)

The costume was made shortly after TRIBE's 2k10 launch. It was her FB profile pic from back then. She actually worked in a mas camp in Canada

Why must you all be so critical? Flip flops are something I would wear 24 hours a day if I could, why not? It's mas to enjoy, people, not rocket science.
