If TRIBE was, hypothetically, not an option for Carnival 2011 (and yes I know not everyone plays in TRIBE anyway);
For TRIBE masqueraders: Which other band would you as a TRIBE masquerader support by playing with in 2011?
For Non TRIBE Masqueraders: Which band would you encourage a TRIBE masquerader to support by playing with in 2011?
Please feel free to leave a comment stating WHY this alternate band would be a good choice in your opinion and if you think they can compete with or even rival the "hype", service, costumes and all inclusive experience that TRIBERS seem to believe can only exist in TRIBE?
*Please note if you choose "other" as an option in the poll you can write in the name of the band.
I voted DKrewe, not just because i am becoming part of the Design team, but because as a mas player i prefer a band of about 1500-2000 people a meduim large band anything bigger than that just takes away from the whole mas experience for me, i have space to play my mas and the service is a lil more personalised rather than generic and because of the band size its more of a family atmosphere! last and most important all DKrewes costumes are produced locally by mas men and women, so the price i pay i know its worth it unlike these 100% china Produced bands who are paying as little as $80us for a costume they selling for $500us!! not me
lol @ the link.....taking away the attention from this post.
anyways, i like this idea. for those of y'all tribers that really looking for an alternative from this years crime mob, or for the ppl that are ready to voice out that tribe isn't all that it seems to be cuz ure just as happy in other bands, this is a good opportunity.

Oh wow @ that link. Isn't that Rene's body modelling that Sea Salt costume?
lol afro chic
i dunno but was told they were exmples of costumes they did for past trinidad carnivals lol
and you see they have prices
and i see Tribe, Spice, IP and Pulse 8 costumes on there
Harts from this year as well.
It's what THEY produced? So why they using a pic of Rene's body in the costume then?
Anyhoo, that's not for this post.
I voted for Island People. :D
My bad, that's Zari, took it for Life in the Waters there.
I voted for IP. The year I played with them I had a great time.

I chose IP. IP really stepped up their game this year which was a bonus. I ALWAYS have a time with IP!
Whey, look how many people vote Spice.
Spice IS the new TRIBE!!!
This Triber already gone Spice :)
I voted IP, they really did impress me this year...BUT if there's really a new entity with Crystal/Diane et al then hmmm maybe there :-)
You should have allowed a ranking, then it would have been IP, D' Krewe, Pulse 8/Ronnie & Caro
I vote Ronnie & Caro. Everyone I know who plays with them loves the experience, & I have yet to see a negative review on this site.
But for now? Staying with Tribe! LOL
hmmmmm so i came back today to see what were the results on the poll
it's quiet interesting to see IP infront followed by Spice.
I am certain if you had done this poll one year ago results would have been quiet different, Spice may have been leaps ahead
I guess IP put some gas in the car while Spice mash brakes and put some people out
