Trinidad’s 2007 Carnival Celebration is fast approaching and as we gear up for another festive season, please take a minute to read the information below regarding final payment and costume distribution.
Further Payments on Costumes
* Cash & Linx payments can be made at TRIBE’s Mas Camp, 20 Rosalino Street , Woodbrook until FRI 2nd FEB. After this date, final payments will only be made upon collection of your costume at Cascadia Hotel.
* Credit card payments can be made ONLY via Senvia until FRI 2nd FEB

Costume Distribution
· Will take place at Cascadia Hotel, St. Anns, Port-of-Spain commencing on the w/d of SAT 10th FEB
· The costume distribution schedule will be emailed to you soon and posted on TRIBE’s website
· You MUST present a valid picture ID with your signature to collect your costume.
· Accepted forms of ID include a driver’s licence, passport, or citizenship/residence card.
· Payment at Cascadia Hotel will be strictly Cash or Linx only. Credit cards will NOT be a form of payment.
Collecting Costumes for Another Person
* You must present a copy of their picture ID (with signature) along with a signed “Authorization to Collect” letter. This letter must be presented at the time of costume collection. Please do not email us this letter.
Fast Track your Costume Collection
· Masqueraders who have paid IN FULL for their costumes by FRI 2nd FEB 2007 will be assigned to TRIBE’s EXPRESS Service to minimize waiting time in the queue.
· The EXPRESS Service expedites the process of collecting your costume.
Costume Resale & Transfers
* If you have sold your costume, please contact TRIBE with the name of the new owner along with their email address and contact number.
* Our email address is info@carnivaltribe.com or you can fax us at 1-868-625-6800.
* The last day to transfer names on costumes is FRI 2nd FEBRUARY.
TRIBE Mas Camp Hours of Operation
* The Mas Camp will be closed from SAT 3rd FEB to facilitate the costume distribution process.
* If you have any enquiries please call 625-6800.

Seems like this is the LAST week to fix up all costume related business; if you know you are selling or have sold your costume get the information to TRIBE by Friday please or else give the person who is buying your costume the authorization letter and copy of ID so they can collect the costume. All those paying by credit card note that it can only be done at the mas camp by Friday as well. Yes, I had to translate for you because I know someone will ask me this very same information in the coming week!

masquerade they probably don't have your correct email address...or have it with some sort of typo. My friend never used to get them either and it was because they spelt it wrong.

Personally I think that fancy sailor is the first section b c that is how the girls were dressed at the launch...

ahymm buh saucy you CANNOT pay with credit cards at the Mas camp or at Cascadia. Payment with Credit cards is ONLY via SENVIA which is an internet online service only.And again the deadline to use credit cards+SENVIA is Fri 2nd. Linx and cash only at the mascamp and Cascadia.

De trini here.....just ah question if anyone can answer.....if I pay for my FIREMAN costume with my credit card on Servia...is it regarded as a cash transaction or a purchase? Anybody know????

I think its registered as purchase on senvia, not sure but definitely with a surcharge. Saucy you sure about that credit card thing in the camp last year? I doh think you could ever have used credit cards at the camp. It was an online system with some other company. I distinctly remember when it crashed last year that I had to run to the atm and get cash and run to the mas camp to fork it over for that said reason that they could not take credit cards. The took linx. I have been to other business places that have a linx machine and can't take credit card, supposedly there is an added merchant use fee for the option.

De Trini, Senvia does in fact incur a fee. From the US it's $20 and from Canada it is $13.

Well to be honest I never used credit card, cash only! When the system crashed all them people with credit card and linx had to line up and wait. I cooly went to the back and handed over my cash to Monique :D
Saucy - I havent gotten my email yet..but hell I dont even need to..you outlined the whole thing fuh me. I've already decided that Carnival Thursday (the day after I arrive) will be costume today. I will trek all the way to Cascadia, pay, pick up, and then get all the bits and pieces I need - earrings, glitter, hot shorts...West Mall here I come!!
It sure beats spending $550 at Beach House...lol
Dragon Princess - Just an FYI for u so u don't waste your time- Tribe will be sending out an email regarding which sections will be distributed on certain days. You can't just decide that you will go on carnival Thurs to pick up your costume. It doesn't work that way. Tribe will designate which days are for specific sections. If you miss the designated day because you are not in the country yet, then you must wait til carnival fri or sat which are the designated days for foreigners to pick up their costumes. From what I remember last year Tribe will not even be @ Cascadia on carnival Thurs because they will be busy preparing for their fete that night at the Oval.
Ahmm so I gone to pay my balance in TRIBE right...and their LINX down!! Cash only, they giving only manual receipts. When it coming back up...nobody knows!!
